A Bit About Me…

I am an NYC-based actor, writer, and lover of all things vintage and strange. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and I graduated from Otterbein University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. In my spare time, I enjoy reading crime novels, exploring antique stores, making soup, watching too much Dateline, collecting Broadway vinyl, petting cute dogs, and meticulously sorting through sale racks.

Why On Earth Did You Start a Blog?

I have always loved writing. When I moved to NYC I quickly realized that while acting was, and always will be, my passion, I craved the structure that writing (and being in school) allowed me, and I began looking for ways to recreate that for myself. I have also always been a vinyl hoarder, and I love buying weird stuff from antique and thrift stores. In short, this is a way to share my strange finds (and justify wasting my hard-earned money on them!), all while giving myself a creative outlet and hopefully being entertaining in the process.

Why Are Most of These Posts About Musical Theater?

Because I’m an actor, first off! It’s something I find interesting and something I have first-hand knowledge of. Weird cast albums are also something that aren’t impossible to find, but rare enough that they allows me the thrill of the hunt. That doesn’t mean it’s the only thing I plan on writing about, but definitely one of my favorite topics.
